Diabetes UK has:
· Funded the first insulin pen.
· Made checking blood sugars simple.
· Reduced the risk of complications.
· Developed diabetes education courses.
Diabetes UK are:
· Tackling sight loss.

· Preventing amputations.
· Getting closer to a cure for type 1.
· Putting type 2 into remission.
Diabetes UK couldn’t have done all these things without the support and help of fundraising.
This year, Diabetes UK have set the #NailingDiabetes challenge. They are encouraging everyone to paint their nails blue for World Diabetes Day. By taking on the challenge, it helps Diabetes UK to turn the UK blue so that others living with diabetes know they are not alone.
The money raised will help fund ground-breaking research, campaign for change and support those who need it the most.
Diabetes UK have invested £66+ million into diabetes research over the last decade alone with thanks to the donations made. With your help, Diabetes UK are getting closer to a cure.
