The National Teaching Service was first introduced in 2015 by then Secretary of State for Education, Nicky Morgan MP. Her goal was to recruit 1,500 elite teachers and leaders to work in struggling schools across England to ensure that all children have access to high levels of education, regardless of where they live.

Politics is an integral part of our everyday lives, with new laws being proposed on a daily basis. These laws can have an influence both domestically and on an international scale. In the 2015 general election, only 43% of 18-24 year olds turned out to cast their vote.

Degree apprenticeships offer work-based courses in conjunction with part-time study at university. At the end of the programme apprentices will qualify with a bachelors or master’s degree in their specific field or area of expertise.

It is well documented that handwriting increases cognitive development in children. Children gain memory, motor and hand-eye coordination skills through cursive and script writing, essential skills for everyday life.

Earlier this year the government proposed new plans to increase the price of tuition fees for students attending university to £9,250 per year of study. This is a £250 rise from the current £9,000 fee and will take effect from 2017.
